Oh no, what was I thinking. I love the chickens and the fact that we now get fresh eggs, three every day, one from each of them. But they love to scratch and fossick around my garden beds and make a mess. One of my begonias is not looking at its best at the moment, I cannot believe that they have trampled one of my miniature cyclamens as well. I think the only thing to do is to not let them out of the chook run, unless they are supervised.
Enjoy the photos of the latest addition to the Bletas family pets.

Winter 2008
Long time between posts, but not much has been happening in my garden.
I have now planted winter vegetables in my veggie patch. This includes broccoli, cauliflower, beetroot, red cabbage, lettuces, chives and spinach.

James's Veggie Patch
James wanted a veggie patch just like Pappou, so Pappou made him his own Veggie Patch, one made out of pine, with plenty of soil, dynamic lifter, compost and whatever else we could find.
We planted the veggies then waited for them to grow. We planted, tomatoes, dwarf beans, corn, lettuce, cucumbers, carrots and for the borders we alternated basil and marigold (companion planting).
I have also now added chillies and parsley to the veggie patch. Here are some images of what we have achieved.

Azaleas
I have many azaleas in my garden, at time of taking these images, the azaleas were in full bloom. I have many different varieties. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Spring 2007 - Back yard images
My backyard has lovely little dwarf fruit trees, and lovely pots full of colour. I have taken photos of my miniature peach and nectarine fruit trees. Enjoy the images. All these images were taken in September 2007.
