September Garden

September in Australia signals Spring, it also signals my eldest son's birthday, Christian was born on the 1st of September on a beautiful blue sky day. I love the smell of the spring blooms of the freesias and boronia's, I have both of these near my front door and Con and I just love the smell. When they are not flowering, the gardenia's flower and send their heady perfume instead.

Here are some more pictures of my garden taken in September, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

April flower photos at last

Hello Everyone,

After much excitement I am back. With the lack of water and not much happening in the garden, I have taken some photos. In the meantime, I have also broken my left arm in two places, from a sporting injury. More later when I can actually type with both hands.

Please enjoy my photos of my garden.

I have included images of roses, cyclamen, begonias that I have
flowering at the moment.

January 2007 - Australia Day Long Weekend

I have taken a number of photos of my garden, eventhough we are currently in Stage 3 of Water Restrictions in Melbourne, Victoria. The roses are still flowering, the azaleas are still growing. The only casualties have been my garden pots and the annuals. I must also not forget the lawn, or should I say the lack of it. But alas, that is how it is.

I have taken on other measures to combat the drought, mulching the garden, saving the grey water within the house and using it outside. Surprisingly, the garden is still looking good even though it has been watered now only twice a week.

Here are a few photos for you to enjoy.
